Zion offers a wide array of academics for our students.Christian education is a vital aspect of God’s mission and Zion Lutheran School assists parents in this important endeavor. Zion Lutheran School is fully accredited nationally through the National Lutheran School Accreditation program of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

We have chosen a challenging and developmentally appropriate curriculum for each grade level. We offer small class sizes and individual attention so each child will be poised to succeed in all academic areas. Our pre-school program will help your children develop social and academic skills that will provide for a smooth transition to kindergarten.

In addition to all of the grade-appropriate core classes, Zion offers academic competitions, athletics, fine arts and more.

Individual and group band lessons are offered. All students participate in music classes where they learn music appreciation and how to read music. Students have the opportuntiy to learn the fundamentals and elements of art while they express their creativity using a variety of mediums. Students are the stars in our annual vocal Christmas program, band program, and our spring musical.

Students are encouraged to participate in the Concordia University’s Gathering of the Talents in categories such as two and three dimentional art, dance, and musical instrument performances.

Every year the students participate in a school-wide academic fair. Previous years have included a Science Fair, World’s Fair, and Fine Arts Fair.

Whether students participate in athletics, fine arts, or or choose to focus entirely on academics, Zion encourages students to glorify God through their actions and to actively find their place as a part of the body of Christ.

We invite parents to visit the school to observe their child’s class activities. Please contact your child’s teacher to schedule a time that will be beneficial to you and not cause disruption in the classroom.
