I’d like to take this opportunity to discuss two VERY important upcoming events for Zion Lutheran School. The first is our annual FIRE (Faithfully Investing in Religious Education) banquet and auction on Saturday, March 2nd at the Adams County Fairgrounds. This is by far our biggest fundraiser and is vital to our school operation. Tickets are still available at our office but usually sell out a week prior, so please contact us if you need some. FIRE would not exist without the help of many gracious volunteers. We still need more volunteers for our FIRE Work Day on Sunday, February 24th from 1:00–4:00pm, when we will assemble the programs, gift bags, and raffle boxes. This afternoon is always a fun time of camaraderie for everyone involved. We also need all the help we can get at the Fairgrounds on Wednesday, February 27th at 1:00pm to help set up all the tables and chairs. ZLS has a noon dismissal that day so that everyone can assist, so it would be a great chance for our church members to get to know our amazing students and staff members! Please call the school or contact Misty Riales for more details.
The second event is our ZLS Rally Night on Tuesday, March 12th from 5:00-7:00pm. This is an event for new and current ZLS families, where everyone will have a chance to explore the school and meet our teachers. Please help us spread the word to anyone you know who would benefit from attending our wonderful school! We will have announcements about our exciting new program offerings at 6:00. Attendees can enter in a drawing to win a FREE half-year of tuition! We will also be having a FREE nacho bar that evening, so we will need volunteers to help prep, serve, and clean up the meal. We would sincerely appreciate it if any of you Thrivent members would be willing to use your Thrivent Action Team Cards to help us purchase the food since each member gets $250/year to use for approved charitable activities such as this. Please contact the school or Penny Pratt if you are interested.
We have a lot of big and exciting changes coming to our school and we can’t wait for everyone to hear about them! Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
Have a blessed week in the Lord!
