In our Kindergarten class, the students have a core curriculum that includes- Religion, Handwriting, Math, Reading, Phonics/Spelling, Language Arts, English, Social Studies, Science, Character Education, Art, PE, Music and Choir.
We also go on several field trips during the year: to the State Fair, to the pumpkin patch in the fall, to College View Assisted Living for Christmas caroling and to The Stuhr Museum in the Spring; just to name a few.
We have several special events throughout the year. The most exciting event is National Lutheran Schools Week. This is a time when students participate in many fun and exciting activities to celebrate Lutheran Schools. The week culminates with Grandparents/VIP Day where these special visitors spend the day at school and eat lunch with their child.
There are many opportunities for extra-curricular activities here at Zion: singing in Church once a month with the school choir, the Children’s Christmas Service, the Spring Musical/Choral concert and the Spring Field Day at Zion-Worms.
